At the end of 2023, ESDP sought Impala Communication’s expertise to align their organizational goals with effective communication strategies as they prepared to launch in early 2024. Our approach began with a comprehensive brand discovery process, including stakeholder interviews and workshops. We developed a cohesive narrative and key messages, along with brand vision and mission statements, to clearly define ESDP’s identity and aspirations. Additionally, we crafted brand values, personality, and voice guidelines to ensure a consistent and engaging brand presence. The final deliverables included a compelling tagline to solidify ESDP’s position in the market. Transforming Reproductive Health: The MICHU Initiative by University of Michigan’s CIRHT and Impala Communication

Recognizing the critical need for improved reproductive health services, the University of Michigan’s CIRHT partnered with Impala Communication to develop the MICHU brand. Our mission was to create a welcoming environment in clinics for women and young girls seeking reproductive health services and to enhance the appeal for clinicians and support staff. We crafted a brand identity centered around the motto “With respect and compassion” “በትኅትና እና በርኅራኄ” and developed a comprehensive communication strategy. Our work included creating training materials, organizing events, and appointing brand ambassadors to ensure the MICHU brand’s values were deeply embedded in the clinics’ culture. With our extensive experience in engaging diverse communities, we created communication content that informed, empowered, and inspired stakeholders to enhance reproductive health services.

Insights into Women’s Health:
Navigating Reproductive Care Amidst the Pandemic

As a flagship project of Impala Communication, the “Through Her Eyes” initiative, in collaboration with EMeWA, aimed to address pressing issues in women’s health in Ethiopia. Funded by the Open Society Foundations, this project focused on the active involvement of women healthcare professionals in research and decision-making. We produced a policy brief investigating challenges in the Ethiopian health system during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on enhancing sexual and reproductive health services. Our work included research in 4 key regions of Ethiopia, documentary production, and presenting findings at a symposium, all aimed at informing and influencing health policies to drive positive change.
