Impala began ten years ago when Ethiopian husband and wife team – Meron and Terusew  – decided to join forces and create a new kind of communications agency focussed on East Africa, principally Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia.

Impala has its base in both Ethiopia and in London, England which means it can bring together both local knowledge and leading-edge communications techniques.

We created Impala as East Africa, in line with much of the continent, is not well-served with professional communications companies. The market is very fragmented and dominated by companies that specialise in just one or two communications techniques be that video production or print production. We wanted to be able to provide our clients with access to the full range of communication and marketing techniques and to an exceptionally  dedicated, passionate and experienced team of professionals.

Our clients fall into three main categories:

Supra-national organisations such as the United Nations, World Bank, ILO, NBI ENTRO and Unicef

Charities and charitable funds such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Save the Children, CIRHT/University of Michigan

Multi-national companies and other organisations with community funds to distribute or who are wishing to demonstrate social purpose as part of their reputation management activities
